For over two decades, those three little circles have sat in the upper-left corner of every Mac window, silently judging your organizational skills. Close. Minimize. Expand. Red, yellow, green. They're the visual vocabulary of macOS—so ingrained in our muscle memory that we reach for them without thinking, so iconic that they've outlived Aqua, ultra-flat minimalism, and they'll outlast Liquid Glass too.
Window Cap is an intersection for your head: a garment-washed denim dad hat that feels like it's been in your rotation for years. This isn't some cheap promo hat with a logo slapped on a generic blank. We built this thing from scratch, because if Jony Ive taught us anything, it's that the details matter. Oh, and that it's pronounced "aluminium."
Let's Call It 'Softwear'
The 6-panel construction uses garment-washed 100% cotton denim that's been broken in for you. It's soft, breathable, and that perfect shade of worn-in blue that pairs with everything. The traditional curved visor maintains classic dad-hat proportions.
The thing is, most dad hats are assembled on the cheap with scratchy sweatbands and zero regard for your forehead's wellbeing. Ours is different. The embroidery is done pre-assembly on the panel blank, which allowed us to integrate an ultra-comfortable interior lining that prevents scratchiness from embroidery threads while providing a premium finish and slight additional structure—just enough form without sacrificing that flexible dad-hat feel we live for.
The sweatband uses the same ultra-absorbent, padded 100% nylon we use in Hat Pro (which is like... not a thing in dad hats), meaning it's performance-ready for the golf course, a summer hike, or aggressively refreshing your inbox in the sun. It won't discolor from sweat like cotton alternatives, and it stays comfortable after hours of wear.
The brass clasp closure is both functional and refined, with a matching brass eyelet that lets you tuck away excess strap for a clean, streamlined look.
